Spotty rain today, plus an update on Thursday’s chances

A few light showers are possible today and tomorrow. Deeper moisture arrives by Thursday and Friday. A recent influx of moisture from Tropical Storm Vance is causing a potential for isolated showers across the Rio Grande, mainly west of San Antonio, causing temperatures to reach near 80 degrees. This could lead to a few showers today, but these will be isolated (30%) and mostly cloudy conditions. However, expect mostly cloudy skies and highs near 80 on Wednesday with a slightly lower rain chance. Thursday, Tropical Storm Storm Vance will bring heavy rain along the Rio Rio, setting up a corridor of heavier rain west of the city. Despite this, San Antonio has a chance of passing showers from Thursday through late Friday, rainfall totals in San Antonio are likely below half an inch. By Halloween, a quieter pattern is expected, with temperatures expected to remain mild and much of the area in the 70s.
