Next week, the Professional Fighters League will kick off a bran new regular season over at the Boeing Center at Tech Port.

Last year, San Antonio hosted one of the playoff rounds for the fastest growing sports league.

Former MMA champ Randy Couture is a commentator for the league and says having San Antonio host their season opener was a no brainer.

"I think it's fitting that the PFL is in San Antonio," Couture said. "Sold out crowd last time we were there last season and I expect that again this time. It was amazing. The hotel, the River Walk, the venue was spectacular. The crowd was phenomenal. We're happy to be back in San Antonio. It's a great place for us to be."

It's a big card coming up on April 4.
