Weather pattern shift: Here's when South Texas can expect rain

As Pacific moisture increases across the region, San Antonio will have several opportunities for rainfall throughout the week. A more active weather pattern is expected across South-Central Texas this week, with high pressure moving off the east and a low-pressure system over the western U.S. This system, along with Hurricane Vance's remnants, will transport higher levels of moisture into the Lone Star State. This increased moisture will bring lots of cloud-cover and several opportunities for showers and thunderstorms. However, rain chances are expected to decrease by Halloween night. The National Weather Service has placed San Antonio under a low level 1 of 4 risk of excessive rainfall, which could lead to isolated flooding. Hurricane Vance is expected to affect Mexico's southwestern coast mid-week, with much of its remnant moisture expected to reach Texas by Thursday.
