Off-duty motorcyclist deputy hit during funeral procession on West side

The deputy was hit with non-life-threatening injuries, including a shoulder injury and a head injury. The driver of the white car was uninjured. No charges are expected as the investigation continues.

SAN ANTONIO - An off-duty Bexar County Deputy was leading a funeral procession and was suddenly struck on the West side Friday morning.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened near the 300 block of North San Gabriel Avenue around 11:45 a.m.

The off-duty deputy was helping lead a funeral procession when a white car suddenly struck him.
The officer fell to the ground injuring his shoulder and hitting his head. The woman driver of the white car was uninjured.
The deputy was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges are expected as the investigation remains ongoing.
