The YMCA of Greater San Antonio will also host Siclagnia, an annual event that turns city streets into a safe place for exercise and play. The last tree giveaway will be on Earth Day at Woodlawn Lake Park.

With good weather and Spring in season, it's time to go outside and possibly get a free tree. The City of San Antonio will give away hundreds of free trees at two outdoor events this weekend. The city's parks and recreation department will be at Viva Poesía on Saturday, April 6 and Siclovia on Sunday, April 7.

The 10th annual Viva Poesía will bring poetic performances, live visual art, and culinary tastings to Mission Marquee Plaza, 3100 Roosevelt Avenue, 78214. The event is free to the public and will run from 6 to 10 p.m.

In addition to entertainment, the city will be giving away 400 fruit trees. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Pop-up vendors will be on-site, and food and beverages will be available to buy throughout the evening.

Siclovia is a free, annual event organized by the YMCA of Greater San Antonio that turns city streets into a safe place for exercise and play. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7 on N St. Mary's Street. Participants can enjoy walking, biking, exercise classes, activities for youth, treats for pets, food trucks, and more.

The city's parks and recreation department will be giving away free shade and ornamental trees at Siclovia, according to its website. The department did not disclose how many it will offer, however, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you miss the events, the last tree giveaway will be on Earth Day on April 20 at Woodlawn Lake Park.
