Can this study tell where you live in Texas based on how you talk on the phone?
Texans say "hello" and "goodbye" differently depending on which city they live in, according to a new study. A study by phone-answering service Moneypenny has found that San Antonioians are the least likely to end a call with "see ya later," according to the study. The study, which surveyed 1,001 Texans, also found that 14% of respondents from San Antonio said they conclude calls with "See ya later" compared to over a fifth of Austinites. The most common greetings and farewells across the board were "hello" and "bye" and women were more likely to greet callers with "what's up," while men are twice more likely than women to say "what’s up". The study did not specify differences based on respondents' current residence or where they grew up.
