San Antonio Exec Sues Former King Antonio Over Ranch Loans

A San Antonio housing exec says a former King Antonio owes him $7.3 million. The ex-royal says the money was never really his to spend. Michael J. Lynd Jr., CEO of Kairoi Residential in San Antonio, has taken Mark M. Johnson Jr., former King Antonio XCIII, to court over millions of dollars in unpaid loans related to a South Texas ranch they once bought together. Lynd alleges that Johnson owes him more than $7.3 million in principal and interest, and the suit seeks collection of that debt. Johnson disputes Lynd's demands for a cash payment and denies using the borrowed funds to finance his personal lifestyle. The dispute began when Lynd and Johnson formed MMJ Ranch LLC to acquire a 1,113-acre ranch near Pearsall and Moore in 2019. The complaint alleges that Lynd loaned Johnson nearly $3.5 million in total from October 2020 through July 2022, spread across 19 numbered loan notes, which were due in full on November 1, 2023. As of September 17, 2026, Lynd claims Johnson owed about $5.1 million on that first set of loans alone.
