Yanaguana Indian Arts Festival Nov. 14 at Briscoe Museum

Free admission, live drum circles and Native artists take over the Briscoe on Nov. 14. Downtown San Antonio's Briscoe Western Art Museum will host the Yanaguana Indian Arts Festival on Nov. 14, 2026. The festival, which celebrates Native American heritage and cultural traditions, will be held at the museum's River Walk campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free admission to the galleries at no additional cost. The event includes performances by Native American artists, dancers, drummers, and storytellers. Festival attendees include Tim Blueflint Ramel and Shane Hendren, a member of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa, and Kevin Horace Quannie, a Hopi/Navajo katsina carver, and Chase Kahwinhut Earles, a Caddo pottery artist. The name is a direct nod to the Payaya people, who were Indigenous to the San Antonio area long before the city took shape.
