New Father Roman Community Center Planned in San Antonio

A new Father Roman Community Center is planned for San Antonio's South Side, with a $12 million project involving a 12,000-square-foot facility, named Marmon Mok as architect and construction start and finish dates of May 12, 2026, and July 11, 2027. The replacement building will include a lobby, gymnasium, classrooms, offices, and a kitchen. The move comes after years of uncertainty over the center's safety and closure. The design phase is complete and the city is shifting into permitting and bidding. The project will cost approximately $8.3 million.
