Spurs rout shorthanded Kings for second consecutive win
A balanced attack gives the Spurs their second consecutive win. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Sacramento Kings 130-107, marking their second consecutive win. The Spurs' head coach, Mitch Johnson, was not pleased with his team's performance so far, but challenged them to improve. A 41-point second quarter put the game away, with Victor Wembanyama scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds, Julian Champagnie adding 26 points on 8-for-13 3-point shooting, Dylan Harper adding 13 points, six rebounds and six assists. All five Spurs starters scored in the game, marking the highest offensive output of the season. Despite being winless on the season, San Antonio has a chance to rise to the top of the standings due to a lighter schedule and teams dealing with injuries.
