Texas' Raising Cane's rival is coming to San Antonio. Here's where.
San Antonio’s first Layne’s Chicken Fingers is set to open this week, and others are planned. Layne's Chicken Fingers is set to open its first Alamo City restaurant in San Antonio, Texas, with plans for a third location on Marbach Road on the West Side. The first Layne's location is set for Tuesday on Bandera Road and a second is under construction on Southwest Military Drive. Plans have been filed for a $1.45 million construction project on Marach Road, set to start in late November and finish by April. Layne’s first opened in College Station in 1994, two years before Raising Cane’S opened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Texas-based chicken chain has since expanded to over 50 restaurants across Texas.
