SAWS’ pipe replacement project to affect flow of traffic, water along Hildebrand Road
SAWS is starting a major project Monday that will affect traffic and water service. The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) will begin a pipe replacement project that will affect traffic and water along Hildebrand Road, north of downtown. The work will begin at 3 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Hildebr Road and McCullough Avenue. The project aims to remove and replace ancient underground pipes, which are 100 years old and break at bad times. During the job, there will also be periodic water outages. The SAWS is making every effort to minimize the impact on customers and drivers.
