The Conservation Society of San Antonio is celebrating 100 years. They are the first community preservation groups in the United States. Co-Chair Barbara Johnso The Conservation Society of San Antonio, the first community preservation groups in the United States, is celebrating its 100th birthday celebrations. The Centennial Gala will take place on March 26 at the Betty Kelso Center of the San Antonio Botanical Garden and the Amanda Cartwright Taylor Lecture Endowment. The event will also be hosted by the National Association of Conservationism (N.A. for a year).
