SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say two men who killed a 23-year-old in an apparent December drug deal gone bad were arrested this week.

Jakob Kawazoe, 26, and Angus Ockels-Talbott, 32, are in custody after investigators found social media and text communications between the pair leading up to when they allegedly shot 23-year-old Juan Guerra on the morning of Dec. 14, according to SAPD Spokesperson Ximena Alvarez.

According to Alvarez, Kawazoe and Ockels-Talbott met up with Guerra at Pearsall Park to buy marijuana from him. The group left briefly to get money from an ATM, but upon returning to the park the suspects allegedly shot and killed Guerra.

Kawazoe, of the Plano area, was arrested Thursday on the far north side. Ockels-Talbott was taken into custody Monday and remains jailed on a $150,000 bond; he was ordered to be on full house arrest while being GPS-monitored if released.
