Castle Hills residents worry for safety after teen accused of targeting area in vehicle theft ring

Castle Hills residents speak out about vehicle break-ins after a 19-year-old was arrested in an alleged vehicle theft ring targeting several area neighborhoods. San Antonio police have arrested 19-year-old Isaac Daniel Vasquez, who is accused of participating in an organized vehicle theft ring that targeted neighborhoods in Castle Hills and surrounding areas. The incident has raised concerns among some residents about safety in their own neighborhood. Vasquez allegedly used a screwdriver to break a pickup’s window and steal property from inside. The investigation also connects the investigation to a stolen 2023 Land Rover Range Rover, which was reported stolen from a home near Alamo Heights and recovered weeks later. The alleged crimes are part of a larger pattern involving Castle Hills, Alamo Height, Terrell Hills and Olmos Park.
